The critical component to any successful restaurant is, of course, the quality of the food, and great food starts with a great chef. In this series, Food Network star Anne Burrell lends her considerable culinary expertise to top restaurants that are looking to hire an executive chef. Each hourlong episode features Burrell turning up the heat on four candidates applying for the same job, testing the applicants on everything from their kitchen skills to their business smarts. For the final exam, each chef has to take the reins of the restaurant and lead a dinner service, and the chef who makes the best food and has the most profitable evening lands the job.
