What to Know

Critics Consensus

If Clark's energetic revelry in the titular criminal's flamboyant exploits often veers into fascile glorification, it still makes for a wild ride with a terrific Bill Skarsgård at the helm.

If you're looking for something true crime that isn't totally mopey, this is a winner. Go to Full Review

At times buoyant and bewildering, it can be wildly uneven but never lets up on the pace and is, essentially, one long chase. Go to Full Review

It’s aiming for a classic picaresque, but the breakneck pacing and tonal shifts make it an unpleasant one. Go to Full Review

Eva Z. @Roman. Jan 18 Just so charming, love it See more Jane B @RT01629151 02/27/2025 This is so corny and crude. One step above Benny Hill, if that’s your thing. See more Nicky P @Nickeeeeeeeeee 12/25/2024 This would have been ok as a goofy 90 minute movie - a Swedish 'Dog Day Afternoon'. But not 6+ hours of the same story over and over and over again ... who could watch a 6 hour version of Dog Day? - you would end up hating it, which is where I landed with this. I had a hard time finishing the series. I watched to the end (over a long period) mainly to see if somehow it would redeem itself- but no. If you're interested in much better Scandinavian entertainment, try Rita (Danish) on Netflix or find the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Swedish) trilogy movies ... See more Chris A @RT65314598 05/11/2024 Fantastic limited series and arguably Bill Skarsgard's greatest performance so far playing the charismatic robber Clark Olofsson. This is a must watch! See more Esra Y @RT95409318 11/02/2023 Bill's performance carries the whole thing. He is electric. Editing and art directing give a colorful, dynamic rhythm to story matches the despicable Clark Olofsson. See more georgan g @RT98616417 08/21/2022 Could only watch episode one. And that with my nose held. What a goofy, unfunny, waste of my time. Can't be bothered with the rest of the series. See more Read all reviews
