Holly attends university with her childhood best friend. But when her friend becomes embroiled with an exclusive group of people and her behavior changes, Holly becomes concerned for her and decides to investigate. Now, a new term has started and Holly lives with some younger student activists. A new group of young men -- all smart, all magnetic in their charisma -- take an interest in Holly. These young men, led by charismatic, Jack have a no-nonsense attitude to what they see going on with the university administration and take matters into their own hands.

The second season is again dogged by uncomfortable questions about feminism... But the first series of Clique managed to pull off its mix of social commentary and sensational drama, against all odds. Gabriel Z 02/22/2022 Stupid utterly ridiculous melodrama. Series 1 had the mystery, intrigue and characters to carry the show in spite of the absence of a story. This season is so unrealistic it is properly stupid. Holly becomes a nosey journalist weeding her way into other people's life problems-- problems even more over-plotted and vacuous this time around. There is good well written dialogue in some of the show but that can't save such a terrible artificial story. The finale was hilarious because it was so stupid and took itself very seriously. Season 1 was serviceable, but this season is not conceivably worth watching. See more 05/30/2021 Season 2 had it's own mystery to solve. It isn't just the same story all over again.
