Despite being predictable and a bit uneven, Cobra's great cast and intriguing premise deliver an electrifying and bingeable first season.

Fun nonsense... The blend of political drama and apocalyptic horror is a bit messy here, but not disastrous. Go to Full Review

It ought to be well-oiled nonsense. Instead, it creaks and clunks along, its rusty machinery visible at every turn. Go to Full Review

So this is a narrative about an urgent situation told with no urgency whatsoever. Go to Full Review

Robert Carlyle can be highly watchable in all kinds of roles, but not, alas, as a British political leader. Go to Full Review

If you don't mind suspending belief and letting a few plot holes slide by, it's a serviceable drama with solid performances. Go to Full Review

The series is enjoyable. It is one of these shows that, despite its defects, if you enter it you want to see how it continues episode by episode. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

01/21/2021 I found every episode gripping, the acting well done and a believeable depiction of politics and the civil service in general in a democratic society. In particular, the public's perception of them as lazy and incompetent, when in fact there were a good number of them performing thankless and often dangerous jobs with courage, dedicatiion, and ingenuity, was realistic. However, because it took place in Great Britain, a constitutional monarchy, during a disaster, the part I found lacking was an accurate depiction of the power of the monarchy as head of state. I understand adding a full on depiction of the queen meeting with the Prime Minister would have changed the scope of the show but only mentioning the monarch in passing as a possible figurehead to show the people during the disaster downplays their actual role of ensuring peace, order and good government during such a time. If they make a season 2 perhaps adding the monarch could make it even more interesting, particularly with respect to whether the monarch permits an election while conditions im Britain had not yet stabilized. See more 12/20/2020 Poorly scripted and researched. The situations were just idiotic and it makes you think the producers didn't have any faith that the audience would know better. I hate seeing terrific actors get let down by horrible writing. See more 10/29/2020 Boring and slow paced. We expected something better from BBC... See more 10/27/2020 I loved this show, it was riveting!!!! See more 02/06/2020 Were this a symphonic orchestra, half of the musicians would be playing the same note while the other half stand up looking at them. Magnificent cast in a series that fails to establish a strong central thread and pull it through the entire series. Tense scenarios crescendo into ... meetings and people watching screens. This series seriously has blue balls. There are hundreds of protesters and insurgents, but we know nothing about them -- they are simply "angry mob" and nothing goes any deeper -- we don't know any of their stories or personalities, other than just being told what "intelligence" finds out about a few of them. See more 01/23/2020 What could have been polished drama, touching on social and political issues with intelligence and empathy somehow ended up being a jarring collection of buzzwords and stereotypes that will leave you feeling contaminated. If you have ever wondered what would a TV show look like if it was written by Nigel Farage after binging Madam Secretary and Okkupert look no further... See more Read all reviews
