Combat Hospital: Season 1 (2011)

Season 1
Combat Hospital

Critics Consensus

Attempting to be a dramatic medical serial, Combat Hospital is instead comical, combining clichés with a blithe approach to the subject matter.

It's too bad Combat Hospital is such an uninspired piece of work.

Combat Hospital still has flashes of intelligence. Definitely worth a second look.

A smart, sedate Canadian production.

It may not be the worst new drama to hit TV screens this summer, but it's certainly the blandest.

Combat Hospital has accomplished what a few years ago I would have thought impossible: it has made the dramatizing of an ongoing war boring.

Jul 6, 2011 | Full Review…

Not the best pacing considering the subject matter.

The promos notwithstanding, it's a low-key, well-acted pilot

In spite of its serious subject matter, there's something about Combat Hospital that feels like a gag, or at least like one of those trumped-up TV shows they slip into real movies for the sake of comedy.

Not bad, but not something I'm going to be rushing back to watch.

If it's willing to be a little more creative and take some chances, there may be more story potential.

Jun 21, 2011 | Rating: 3.8/5 | Full Review…

The "medical drama" is far too paltry to sustain the series without ramping up the relevance of the war context.

Combat Hospital leaves no cliche unturned.

Audience Reviews for Combat Hospital: Season 1

Season 1 was pretty good except the brunette main character. I think if they had replaced her with someone else, it would have made another season. That actor alone ruined the show.
