Its Kafka-esque journeys into absurdity are, I find, irresistible. It's a bit like the short-lived but sharp Better Off Ted, and a bit like The Office, but then it's very much its own nihilistic self.

Corporate is at its best when it's parodying the small absurdities that maintain the requisite veneer of professional office civility.

All of this energy is present right at the top of Season 3, with a fever dream premiere of corporate streaming rights battles, dystopian children's programming, and the cherry-on-top meta-nod to trying to end a TV series in a satisfying way.

Like Silicon Valley does in its best episodes, this is a show that acknowledges the noxious nature of office ecosystems and success ladders, and the pointlessness of working oneself out of actually living.

For its third season, Corporate is undeniably still at the top of its game. Even when something doesn't land, which is rare, there's a visual gag or a character's expression to snap things back into place instantly.
