The third season starts off with a bang when Annie (Piper Perabo), shaken after witnessing a friend die in a car explosion, is reassigned to work under Lena Smith (guest star Sarah Clarke), whose approach to intelligence gathering differs from Joan's (Kari Matchett). Annie's first assignment is to investigate Russian-born businessman and suspected spy Simon Fischer (Richard Coyle), a mission that pushes her into new territory. Auggie (Christopher Gorham) enters new territory of his own when he takes a spot at the head of a department and proposes to Parker (Devin Kelley).
