Critic Consensus: Crash attempts to tackle provocative social issues, but it's ultimately stymied by its thin characters, absurd plotting, and heavy-handed preachiness.

On the whole, I'd rather watch my car overheat in rush hour traffic.
With six separate storylines following characters not in the movie, Crash could become a complicated serial.
Crash, based on the Oscar-winning movie, is a show that's madly in love with its own daring and importance.
Unless Crash the show improves rapidly, it'll just provide more fuel for the people angered that the movie beat out Brokeback Mountain and Munich for the big prize.
The cast does the best they can with the material, but considering how unbelievable the writing is, there's little they can do to lessen the feeling that we're watching a soap opera with nice production values, plus nudity and swearing.
