In addition to its strong leads and immediately engaging set-up, the crime thriller created by Paul Rutman (Next of Kin) is enhanced by the visual style established by set-up director Jim Loach (son of the rightly revered Ken). Go to Full Review

Jumbo and Capaldi are powerhouses and the crackle of their work together here, much of which they refused to rehearse in advance, elevates a relatively simple question into something much murkier that could, at least in theory, allow for nuance. Go to Full Review

The resolution, when it finally comes, is unsatisfying. After eight episodes, the thinness of the show’s ambitions are revealed. Go to Full Review

The two police officers seem to be playing an intense game of detective chess throughout the series, with a rivalry that makes the viewer want to stay and witness which of the two will deliver the final checkmate. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Manuel T @RT84564715 May 25 Woke but not on the Nose, off course the african powerful lady detective is the one who is the heroin in this series, the baddies are all white and the male detectives keep making "innapropiate jokes" that make the two female officers of colour to look at each other... Of course the empowered protagonist got her car graffitted with a slur on a crime scene, of course the lawyer bound to defend the inprisoned hero is a Lesbian Sikh. It comes to a point where it just throws the series down with the woke agenda. See more Scott T. @ScottyReds May 21 Season 1 is phenomenal. I watch a love of US and UK Crime shows, and this one is an absolute standout. High production value, great writing, complex characters. See more Kim B @RT86564524 May 13 It is a slow burn, well cast, interesting story, nothing groundbreaking, but I still enjoyed it. See more Jacqui T. @jmt836 Apr 25 One of the best series I’ve seen.
