The repetitious plot complications become tiresome from overuse and the series as a whole is drawn out, but thankfully the character conflicts provide the right amount of barbarity and well-crafted fight choreography to keep the intrigue flowing. But watching it in German is outstanding for all the languages and honest dialects being used by the actors. Never seen an international movie/series here in the US that even comes close from a language perspective. Someone is always faking some language somewhere. Whether in their native tongue or when speaking in a foreign language, the actors' voices are all ring true and spot on. Many of the actors switch freely between English, French, Arabic German, and Austrian depending on their respective roles. And, no typo, Austrian is very different from German when spoken, so no one switches from Austrian to German. I might have the Arabic wrong, but the German, French, and English is so well done, I trust the same can be said for the Arabic. And when they speak in English, they actors have the appropriate accent to their native tongue. Great international casting on that count alone. I had great fun, and really hope for more.
