Tv Season Info

Series 6 begins with Horatio (David Caruso) investigating a probation officer's murder and discovering a teen named Kyle Harmon (Evan Ellingson) is a chief suspect. After some digging by Yelina (Sofia Milos), H. realises the young man is his son, whom he never knew existed. Things get more complicated when the boy's mother, Julia Winston (Elizabeth Berkley), surfaces after her billionaire husband is murdered. Of course, she's a leading suspect in the homicide but claims she is innocent. She also says she will do anything to regain custody of Kyle, who is now in prison. If the situation wasn't murky enough, Julia has Horatio extradited to Brazil to face murder charges in connection with gunning down his wife's killer there two years ago. Even more bizarre is that Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane), who died in Horatio's arms after being shot in the Series 3 opener, appears to Delko (Adam Rodriguez), who is experiencing posttraumatic shock following a near deadly encounter, in a vision and helps him solve a murder. As for Calleigh (Emily Procter), her relationship with colleague Jake Berkeley (Johnny Whitworth) is discovered by Rick Stetler (David Lee Smith) of Internal Affairs and he tries to end it. The love affair also makes Delko extremely jealous. Calleigh's work is called into question following a mistake and someone launches a Web site that posts her alleged work errors. Ryan (Jonathan Togo), who lost his CSI position last series, takes a consulting job with a local TV station, but he still routinely shows up at crime scenes to report on them, which doesn't sit well with his former lab partners. The son of Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander) becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a drug dealer and the ordeal takes such a toll on her that she considers quitting her job in the lab so she can devote more time to her family. And one team member is gunned down in a series-ending cliffhanger.

Critic Reviews for CSI: Miami Season 6

All Critics (2) | Top Critics (0)

The sixth season doesn't exactly depart from the idea of making an hour-long music video in which a crime must be solved, but it does manage to tone it down just enough to make it tolerable for the show's 21-episode shortened season.

You would think the season would kick off with a bang, but in our opinion, it was a dud.
