Facing an existential threat that could bring down the entire crime lab and release thousands of convicted killers back onto the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas, a brilliant new team of investigators combine forces and deploy the latest forensic techniques to do what they do best -- follow the evidence -- in order to preserve and serve justice in Sin City. While there have been numerous spin-offs within the "CSI" franchise, this will serve as the series' first sequel.

SI: Vegas is solidly built, and watching it brings to mind an era of TV, not so very long ago, when shows like this were thick on the ground. Go to Full Review

All the kinetic tics from before are present: the swooping camerawork, the gleaming nocturnal cityscapes, the rapid-fire editing... But where these once looked ferociously modern and exciting, if always a bit daft, they now look dated and even more daft. Go to Full Review

While the series still overinflates exactly what CSI members do... the series' focus on science leading to justice can be inspiring to viewers interested in STEM. Go to Full Review

Allie S 05/24/2024 I like the franchise (some entries more than others) and this one started out strong but I think I'm done. The characters are just too irritating. Instead of managing a balance between humanity and professionalism they're either so jokey and flippant it's cringe-enducing at one extreme or all melodrama and hand-wringing on the other. And it's not just the regulars. So many characters aren't believable, with reactions and attitudes that just aren't credible and generally over the top. I tried ignoring it and focusing on the plot but lately that's no longer enough. I've been able to guess the bad guy and the motive as soon as they appear onscreen for the first time, they're so conventional and predictable. Annoying characters, middling plots. I loved the old characters and their integration with the new. Times change. People move on. Vegas moves on and so do the crimes and machinations by terrible people. Great story telling as usual. See more phil e 10/22/2022 I'm done with this series. I'd much rather watch reruns of the original CSI. Season 1 was good enough, but season 2 lacks everything the original CSI had. The characters are unsympathetic, and aren't believable as CSI's. Bring back Grissom and Sara and try to resurrect this piece of trash See more Name S 06/27/2022 A reboot of a fun show. I'm sold. Let's see if they can keep this franchise reboot a floater or of it hits rigamortis early.... See more 03/17/2022 Without someone of main cast from the old days, I don't think it could have watched a full episode. Wasn't expecting it to be like the old days but was hoping it was good... for me, it wasn't good. See more Read all reviews
