aiden G @spoooderman 3 days ago I had no interest in this show. I'd never played Cyberpunk 2077, and my friends were the ones who wanted me to watch it. And they were SO RIGHT! OML this show was fantastic! I loved David and Lucy's dynamic/romance, and the conclusion to that story was so heartbreaking! Maine was a super awesome mentor and his ending was also extremely sad. The animation is beautiful, with the scenes on the moon or looking into Night City being some of the most stunning visuals I've ever seen in anime. Long Review: *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners* is an incredible story that perfectly adapts the video game—and even manages to surpass it. Studio Trigger’s attention to detail is astounding, the animation is mind-blowing, and the script is as cruel as it is beautiful. David Martinez makes for a great protagonist, and his relationship with Lucy drives the plot; the show isn't afraid to break the viewer's heart to prove that there are no happy endings in Night City. Maybe some of the characters are one dimensional. They picked the right arch, the right dimensions, and nailed the tone, style, and feeling if the game. The dialog, the audio cues, the locations, all resonate with the game's world and fill it with a vibrant sci-fi story about a bunch of punks with no other options. It's world where everyone's hosed by the system and there's no other possible conclusion to for the characters. Loved it, hope season 2 lives up to the standard of the first. Will be a day one binge.
