Just barely worth a watch. The nostalgia of seeing these actors together will carry you thought, a little bit...

Jamie Foxx is a funny guy. You'd just never know it from "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!"

Apr 15, 2021 | Full Review…

Even a pair of legends can't quite shake the dust out of this - dust, in fact, that's time-travelled all the way from 1990s TV.

Impressions and tasteless jokes get in the way of building the father-daughter relationship...

Apr 16, 2021 | Rating: 2/4 | Full Review…

Brian and Sasha take turns talking to the camera, sharing their perspectives with the viewer, but DSEM! never doesn't feel like The Jamie Foxx Show 2, with the showboating actor sucking up all the energy in the room.

Apr 15, 2021 | Full Review…

The series occasionally wrestles with this uncomfortable truth, but more often prefers to put Brian in ridiculous situations that all but require Sasha to regularly utter some variation on the title.

Apr 15, 2021 | Rating: C- | Full Review…

Playing the sitcom dad in Netflix's new series, though? This might be the one thing that Jamie Foxx is properly rubbish at.

Apr 15, 2021 | Rating: 2/5 | Full Review…

The show has a warmth that accrues with each episode, making the densely packed gags almost incidental.

Apr 14, 2021 | Rating: 3/4 | Full Review…

There's almost something soothing about how predictable it is, right down to the dusty punchlines threaded throughout every scene.

Apr 14, 2021 | Full Review…

Has more than enough going for it to recommend.

Apr 15, 2021 | Full Review…

As sitcoms go, 'Dad Stop Embarrassing Me' traffics in broad stereotypes, caricatured characters, and familiar setups to try and make some comedy happen. The results sadly fail to materialise.

Apr 14, 2021 | Full Review…

With Jamie Foxx surfacing more than one character, this feels like a fun project for him rather than the audience.

Audience Reviews for Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!: Season 1

All of the actors in the show are great, but the script isn't. The jokes have no punch line, the plots barely make sense, and the characters are just weird. There's this whole "gen-z" thing that they try wrapping into the show, but it doesn't work, because no one talks or acts like that. Finally, there's this whole talking-directly-to-the-camera/viewers thing that made the show even worse. I tried watching it, hoping that it would get better, but it didn't.

Es genuinamente horrible , no da gracia es molesta , jamie foxx destruyendo su carrera , la hija es insufrible
  • Apr 24, 2021
There is so much potential there with great comedians on the cast, but the show's no good.
  • Apr 23, 2021
Hilarious season, so many comedy legends!
  • Apr 22, 2021
I love this tv show. It is very funny to me. I hope to see many more seasons to come.
  • Apr 20, 2021
Somewhat wholesome. Its kinda funny if you just watch the show and live in the moment.
  • Apr 19, 2021
This show exists as a relieving throwback-style comfort during coronavirus, for all of us that felt lost after finishing - Literally Everything of Interest Released in our Past and Present. Shows with laugh tracks shouldn't elicit these serious, tired as hell reviews. Other than commenting on the veiled asian hate and xenophobic tendencies in the writing, please don't waste a written review on a sitcom. Just rate the damn thing and move on.

I enjoyed this show! I feel like all sitcoms take some time to really get their flow going and for the cast to truley click but the show has potential, and the base of it is fun.

Saw the short snap with the skinny jeans and called my wife, I found a cool new series on netflix. After a couple of minutes of braindead jokes and showing black people as weed smoking idiots I couldn't watch that anymore. Netflix is really garbage.

It's a really good show that talks about today's problems but also funny and short of kid friendly it's really interesting and has good jokes
