Flapkatt Aug 24 Physically talented, energetic and lithe young folks who move as if they are liquid spiced with raw electricity. The interesting thing for me though, is that if dance fails them, or they fail to find the vision quest, not one of them have any fall back position, education or alternate potential. Language skills are abysmal, they simply cannot form full sentences. "Like, I guess, sort of and maybe" are their best and most used words, when they should, at the ages of 17-23, have some improved working knowledge and fund of available information other than dance to sustain themselves in the real world. I understand the drive, mine was for education and medicine; I won't be unemployed because I sank everything into the one area that insists on physical perfection to create a living wage. I admire them, of course-and a real part of me envies them, but I wouldn't hire one of them to work in my business or be a part of a customer/client/patient service team.
