[Vincent D'Onofrio] is amazing as always.

The ambition of season 1 has yet to be bettered elsewhere in the Netflix Marvel universe.

But if you watch one episode, you'll watch them all.

Here there is no time for spandex, aliens, futuristic armor or thunder gods. Only blood, moral conflicts and a lot of pessimism. Welcome to the dark side of Marvel. [Full Review in Spanish]

Charlie Cox is the reason to watch Daredevil... The actor adds a new flavor to the MCU: calm, cool, and collected.

With so many new superhero shows on television, Daredevil successfully raises the bar.

Daredevil might just be one of the most elegant entry points for a superhero in live-action that I've ever seen.

Daredevil is dark - both literally and figuratively - and dares to suggest vigilantism can create problems, not just solve them.

interjects a welcome dose of bruised-and-bloodied malice to the sometimes too-cartoony Marvel universe. More promising still, Daredevil is a confident show with a solid foundation on which it can build.

Daredevil doesn't always pack the intellectual heft of its sister Netflix series Jessica Jones, but it's a finely acted, well-written, appropriately dark series with some truly dazzling fights.

Daredevil was BORN for TV... To my great delight, it measures up to the dream like few things have; and to my surprise, it does so in less than ten minutes.

Charlie Cox simply owns the role of Matt Murdock... He sinks so perfectly into the role that (as much as we might love Ben Affleck) he makes us forget the 2003 film ever existed.

Daredevil expects you to be patient, confident in its ability to deliver when the time is right... It's a dark, intoxicating slow-burn as a result.

So, let's add it up. The performances are solid and understated... The fights are always unflinching, the cinematography occasionally striking. We're only one episode in, but already Daredevil has broken away from the superhero herd.

Daredevil makes it abundantly clear you're not watching a superhero show. This is a crime drama whose protagonist just happens to wear a mask.

It's everything Nolan's Batman never had time to explore, everything Arrow wants to be without network boundaries, and exactly the street-level drama Marvel needs to complete its superhero world.

The writing is sharp and funny in a way that doesn't clash with the noirish, pulp-hero tone.

There are shades of The Wire in this corrosive, corrupt world. Roll on Season 2.

If this is your kind of thing, then Daredevil is an exciting and well-executed example of the genre, elevated by smart writing, a charming cast, and affectingly visceral fight scenes.
