Andy H @andyhh 03/23/2023 This is season 4 of True Detective. Don't get fooled by the german language. And if you are watching it dubbed to english; shame on you! Dubbing is an abomination, stay true, and read the d#$n subtitles. That said, this is the unofficial season 4 of True Detective in german, ripe with german interstate bureaucracy and idiocy. I have to take half star off, as while the show tries to promote the female protagonist detective (Karoline Schuch, the true star of this show), as she fights the sexism in Germany on the late 80s and 90s, really the show centers on the male police chief trying to find what happened to this sister. This works great. Excellent. But, Anne is the true detective, and Bethge is a lousy police chief throughout, but a dedicated retired detective in the second. He was a really shitty investigator in the first half, and the second half only happened because he was so shitty, albeit his interstate were unbelievably stupid. Hey, please make a season 2, but don't make the Neidersachen prosecutor and police chief such unbelievable a***oles. There you dropped the ball. Still, everyone, EVERYONE, should watch this, as this is True Detective season 4. I doubt the actual TD4 will be better, this show is definitely better than TD2 AND TD3. Not TD1, not this part of our multiverse. The gardener.
