Bert B 10/14/2024 Terrific photography in this non who dunnit given we know who the crims are early on. Denmark becomes the most dangerous country on earth. For once, a police procedural with underplayed acting and no postcard views paint a dark picture of severe mental illness. The vignette flashbacks preceding the titles at the start of each ep are suitably creepy and add to the tension as the perps' fraught past is revealed. See more Peter M 09/16/2024 What a load of rubbish! Even the Scandi noir scriptwriters have lost the plot now. The two main lead characters, the detective and the criminal psychologist, should each find themselves another job ... because they're hopeless at the ones they're trying to do in this series. While the rest of the cast go through the usual tropes. Spoiler ahead! The series began well but like so many shows these days, by the time it got to the last couple of episodes it became ludicrous. The storyline and stupidity of certain characters beggared belief. The most obvious standout though was having only one overweight copper escorting a handcuffed mass murderer outside to a waiting police car ... only to have said murderer take the cop's gun ... and the rest is history. The plausibility factor plummeted even further after that. In the end, I wanted to be one of "those who kill" — the scriptwriters. See more Mark F 09/07/2024 The scattered negative reviews seem wholly unfair: it's a well cast, wonderfully acted and beautifully shot tense series, in the genre not of whodunits but rather why-so-crazy psychological mysteries. There are no outlandish conventions, not in the Hollywood fashion, and the Danish settings and atmosphere add a cool charm. See more Gunilla F 04/15/2023 This was a difficult show to watch, very sad with quite a bit of violence. That said, it was a brilliant piece of work. Excellent acting and directing, very high production values and skilfully put together and very engaging but not for the faint of heart.... See more Flavio A 03/19/2023 It really creates suspense and the actors are really good! See more 08/05/2021 This is an incredibly gripping yarn. Really only one episode a night or I'll never sleep. More twists and turns than Silverstone! See more Read all reviews
