The series is an exercise in frustration as most of the cast is so unaware of anything outside themselves that it takes forever for simple tasks to get accomplished. What's also a big turnoff is how everybody is so self-absorbed in what seems to be a full on village of lesbians who constantly argue, where nothing gets done. I found very few things humorous - although thought Kate Box to be good. Unfortunately, it seems that nearly every other character are quirky oddballs just to have a forced comedic moment. Overall, this show tries too hard to be original that it comes across as amateurish and unengaging. The series checks all the boxes for critics who support the woke agenda - except for being entertaining, funny and interesting. We first meet her as she in bed with a masculine woman, and not much time passes until it’s clear that this production has a sexual political agenda to push. For example, these two women are married. To each other. Same-sex marriage exists in their world. Of course they are not actually married since marriage is one man, one woman, one flesh, for one lifetime. Yes, they ignore objective reality of what marriage is and this is not a joke. If you want an agenda pushed down your throat, then this "comedy" might be for you. Studio ownership in control of their critics and reviews will do that.. So I watched episode one and, oh my God I guess it's supposed to be a comedy but why isn't it funny at all? I am just so embarrassed for everyone, especially for the woman that plays the lead detective coming in, that must be Eddie? What a horrible actress. So Community theater. She would never be a police officer anywhere with that stupid demeanor and off the wall garbage talk. The whole Police staff mostly is a bunch of dunderheads. OK but at least be funny about it. No, no humor whatsoever. There are many negative reviews here, believe every one of them. This show is an insult to the gay community. See more K M @Secularhellhound1 Jul 20, 2026 An Australian dark comedy and murder mystery. I have watched it 4 times. I constantly plan my trip to Tasmania after watching it. I love the sleuthing and authentic, complex queer and Aboriginal representation. The dynamic between fastidious local Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins and brash Darwin investigator Eddie Redcliffe is hilarious. One on my top 3 favourite shows of all time. See more Read all reviews
