Clocking in at just eight 20-minute episodes, the show can feel a bit rushed; the structure could certainly be tighter. But if you're a fan of this format and can't stand to look at another Real Housewife, you could certainly do worse. Go to Full Review

Deaf U is a reality series first and foremost and, outside of the discussion of deaf politics and culture, not a particularly involving one. Go to Full Review

04/10/2021 Only hearing people like this pile of crap. Praying there won't be a season 2 so Nyle will have less of a platform to paint the Deaf community in a bad light. See more susan j @CallMeLulu 10/23/2020 Wow. Brilliant. Different, Compelling. Funny. Heartbreaking. Fascinating. Plus filled with the standard drama of a reality series. The people are amazing. Although I lived in Washington DC for a long time and knew a couple of people who went to Gallaudet, I know very little about the "deaf community." This was so eye-opening. The sociology of it. I really like almost all of the characters. For reality TV it's surprisingly not superficial. A couple of situations actually had me in tears--I don't mean manipulative TV commercial tears but seriously sympathizing or empathizing with the characters. And it's super entertaining. Amazing watching all the signing. Really amazing. See more Read all reviews
