Decoupled is a great step towards moving away from the conventional relationship tropes in Bollywood movies and shows. Go to Full Review

It's the kind of show that doesn't run on plot, character development, situational humour, or finesse in filmmaking. What it runs on is sheer male entitlement. Go to Full Review
Rohan Naahar The Indian Express 12/20/2021
Decoupled isn't so much a comedy about a couple on the verge of divorce as it is a vessel to communicate creator Manu Joseph's most divisive thoughts to an audience that normally wouldn't pay attention to them. Go to Full Review

Decoupled starts off funny enough to keep our interest, but we need to find out more about both members of the couple getting divorced in order to really get into the dynamics of why they even got together in the first place. Go to Full Review

01/25/2022 Very badly written and directed show. While it could've been funny as satire, social commentary on the insensitive elite, and other devices, the scenes and sequences just don't make any sense. You'll find a supposed motive being set up for a character but it's never followed upon/there's no payoff. The lack of continuity between scenes (as I'd mentioned earlier) put me off completely. ‘Decoupled' ends up looking like a sad little fantasy for teenage boys and immature married men for what divorce should look like. IMO, don't waste your time watching this. See more 01/21/2022 An eccentric yet hilarious take on modern upper-class families and relationships. Some of the satire land perfectly. Well done! See more 01/20/2022 One of the finest content based series I have ever seen.Hat's off to the writer and director of this series. What a Brilliant series from Manu Josehp The character Arya you just fallen love with him because of his humorous dialogue and candid behavior .When you're watching this series you have to sit on the fence. You have to open your mind & enjoy this series. Fantabulous performance by Madhavan. His acting performance was commendable just nailed it.Honestly I enjoyed a lot,In every episode I just laugh out loud. Also Surveen chawla did a great job in this series after so many years I saw her in screen and that was great. She evolved herself by the time. Dialogue, screenplay, direction everything was out and out superb.I never felt bored while watching this series every episode is enjoyable for me. If you have enough time you can finished it in a day. will you recommend ? -YES! See more 01/03/2022 Good mix of comedy. Sometimes very direct and sometimes subtle. Never a dull moment. See more 12/30/2021 Loved it! A couple of cringey moments aside, I thought it was self-deprecating and absolutely hilarious. Deep insights on occasion but not at all preachy. Classy and strong performances all the way around and without being a spoiler, Ayushman was quite the cheesecake! I'm ready for Season 2! See more 12/22/2021 The actual premise of this show: How do you take someone as charming as Madhavan and make him the most unlikeable human on the planet? To the reviewer encouraging us to look past the cringey moments, I honestly couldn't find anything but cringe. A show about an epic divorce gets zero emotional buy-in when you have no idea how or why these two people ended up together in the first place. There's never even a misplaced moment of softness or vulnerability to make the characters anything more than caricatures. See more Read all reviews
