The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest police forces in the world, but when the elected sheriff dies, an arcane rule in the county charter, forged back in the Wild West, suddenly thrusts the most unlikely man into the job. Bill Hollister is a fifth-generation lawman who is only interested in justice. The bad guys don't stand a chance but neither do the politicos in the Hall of Justice. The dangers associated with the job often lead the police to LA County General Hospital, where Bill butts heads with the hospital's chief trauma surgeon -- who is also his wife. Given a job he never wanted, in an unfamiliar sea of politics, Bill quickly learns that doing what is expected and doing what is right are two different things, and that his innate, dogged pursuit of justice is the only skill the job truly requires.

Unfortunately, all three entries are as predictable as they are fine with being predictable. "Deputy" doesn't give off so much as a whiff that it wants to be more than a by-the-book, case-of-the-week cop drama.

It's silly, occasionally action-packed, rarely makes any sense at all and it's a little bit less reactionary than I feared. I probably won't watch any more, but then again there are around a dozen Air Bud movies I haven't seen either.

Dorff is at the center keeping it entertaining, and the ridiculousness of some of the plotting to start the series is almost admirable, but this is an inconsistent show in every way.

Deputy is off to a good start. It has its finger on the pulse of the current political climate, but never leans so far left or right that it will push away those with more ardent opinions.

I just watched Deputy and really enjoyed it. Was very disappointed that they didn’t continue with another season. Would love to see how Cade and his wife made out with custody of the two children. They should really bring the show back. I know a lot of people that would love watching it.

I Love this show and All it's characters… Love!! I will keep writing reviews until they make a season 2 I know a something about tv and a whole like about good entertainment… it took me a minute to find another show to stream and now I find out that Deputy was cancelled after one season… why would FOX even air it because they can't handle the real content!! Whoever wrote, produced, and casted the roles … You have touched this heart of mine! Please, please, please do second 2 EW

Faktiskt väldigt fräsch serie som håller för tiden. Många säger att det är för pc med gay personer och vänster politik. Kanske de ska se sig lite omkring sig för det är den värld vi lever i acceptera lr byt kanal sluta och gnälla så jävligt och kastat så mycket spya omkring sig. Har slutat att titta på imdb för det är så mycket toxiska person där. Tycker denna serie är KANON

My husband and I both enjoyed this show. It was realistic most of the time and we found it entertaining and gripping at the same time. We both enjoyed the characters on the show. We support law enforcement and would like to see this show back on the air!!!
