Parting is such sweet sorrow, but Derry Girls' final season promises to milk as many laughs as it can before viewers say a fond farewell to this lovable band of miscreants.

Derry Girls, rooted in a bildungsroman structure, naturally finishes when its characters transition into adulthood. It also shows us that intentional endings matter. Go to Full Review

Even I still don't think the series has ever been better than its hilariously anarchic first season, this final go round in Derry with this assortment of strange and oddly (mostly) loveable characters ends the show on a funny, satisfying high. Go to Full Review

[Memorable], with laugh-out-loud shenanigans and set pieces, be it a Spice Girls routine, a stalled train ride to an amusement park, breaking into school on the night of exam results, or trying to get tickets to a Fatboy Slim concert. Go to Full Review

Jordan E. @Jordan_Ecklund 3d Hilarious show, absolutely loved it and would watch again many more times. See more maddie R. @maddierod00 Apr 22 I think the political side of this show was done perfectly, bc it demonstrated what was really happening at that time in Northern Ireland but it didn’t take away from comedy of the show. I think the way they ended the show was just perfect! I only wish there were more episodes in each season bc it was just too funny! See more R T @mademoisellesjh Apr 22 The only bad thing about this season is that it's the LAST season. Seriously, this whole series, from season 1 to season 3, is a MUST WATCH! I laughed, i cried. This show is not only great at being hilarious but also being great at making you cry. I enjoyed this show so much and i'm so sad that it's ending. I will forever love my Derry Girls. See more Jacqueline A @JacquelineA Mar 19 Having finished How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, I turned my attention to Derry Girls. At first I was unimpressed. A bunch of mildly amusing characters. By the end of season 1, I started to understand. By the end of season 3, I was in bits. I grew up in London in the 70s and 80s. While by no means anywhere near as bad as Derry, my childhood memories are very much stained by the bombs and the terrorist threats. The Regents Park bandstand bombing happened just across the road from my school. It was a place that my friends and I used to hang out at during our lunch hour. But childhood and adolescent silliness will continue even in the most dire circumstances. Thanks to the Good Friday Agreements, those terrible times are now "just ghost stories we tell our children". The beautiful narrative of Derry Girls reminds me of my own childhood experiences, which are now simply ghost stories to tell my children. See more THE NASHVILLE I @Nshvlleindie Jun 19 Definitely a faithful follow up to seasons 1 and 2, and a deserving end to one of the funniest shows the last 10 years. The season admittedly wobbles at times trying to give due time to a couple serious plot points, but the characters still manage to keep you invested and bring this home.
