The third series chronicling the lives and loves of the residents of Wisteria Lane introduces a new romantic interest for Susan, who is torn between this new man (Dougray Scott) and Mike (James Denton), who is now in a coma after a hit-and-run in Series 2. Meanwhile, Bree begins a relationship with the mysterious Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan), who was introduced in Series 2 and now becomes a series regular; Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) and Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) pursue divorce proceedings; Lynette (Felicity Huffman) helps out at her husband's new pizza parlor; and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) continues to pursue Mike and also has a new houseguest, her nephew Austin (Josh Henderson), who piques the interest of Susan's daughter Julie (Andrea Bowen).

Desperate Housewives was much better in its third year than its second, bouncing back with far more engaging and interesting plots and recapturing much of the witty comedic moments...that makes it a soap opera with something outside the ordinary to it.
