Like its predecessors, the Desperate Housewives season seven finale was absolutely amazing and did not fall short of suspense, mystery or drama.

I was okay with Vanessa Williams showing up as the new hot tottie on the block, but her storyline is wasted in the morass of the Scavo marriage. Though its the storylines of the other women that crush this series.

ABC's classic prime-time soap opera remains slickly watchable, but the momentum is seeping out.

Finally, DH is getting back to basics, crafting a mystery that utilizes the entire ensemble rather than splitting the cast into a web of barely-connected, tangential story-threads.

Never has the series felt as listless and wrong-headed as it does at the moment.

Am I tempted to start watching again? No, not really.
