...despite a dip in pace in the first few episodes, ' Devil May Cry' remains incredibly entertaining despite the narrative dips midway through the season. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Devil May Cry Season 2 delivers bigger action, stronger emotional stakes and an explosive Dante-Vergil rivalry that finally gives the adaptation its true identity. Go to Full Review

[...] Season 2 continued to prove that monsters come in all shapes and sizes. It also was a devastatingly emotional journey as we got to see the wounds that Dante, Vergil, and Lady continue to carry within them and that have shaped them. Go to Full Review

If you’re new to the world of Devil May Cry or a returning Season 1 viewer who loves exciting action and doesn’t mind a slightly underwhelming plot, then give Season 2 a shot. Go to Full Review

It’s less an adaptation and more of a remix, chopping and screwing every reference within the DMC fandom and pop culture as a whole without ever taking a moment to ask if they should. And I’ll admit it, I kinda liked it in that context. Go to Full Review

Hudson S @hsances 13h I'm watching the show, it's alright. It's keeping my attention where otherwise I have nothing to watch, the story itself is entertaining. But the music. My god. It is so beyond cringe I have to skip large swaths of the show just to get past it. Why would you think it's a good idea to include pop music that expired 20 years ago? Skater Boy?! Really?!?! There are other criticisms, like how this super powerful dude is whipped beyond belief by the Judas chick with no mind of her own who sells him down the river every episode, too many characters randomly entering a scene, story a bit convoluded at times. But honestly, I would be able to pay attention a lot more if I didn't have to shield my soul from the rightfully forgotten cringe music of a bygone era. See more Sharon W @RT57089023 22h 10/10 omg this is the best dmc anime, i love how different it all is. glad it's perfect i scream with joy when lady and dante kissed. will say glad it different from the games. See more cyb3ren @RT83531824 2d There is absolutely no original thought in this show, the amount of "original" content that is really just soulless nostalgia bait for millennials makes this a poor show on its own, all its "original" story directions are ripped of other capcom or non canon dmc media. I can only praise this show for its music (only evanescence and papa roach) but if you’re going to call yourself a visionary try and actually bring something new to the table. Utter reference slop. See more xXiroXx HD T @RT96865969 2d As a lifelong fan who still replays the games and rewatches the original anime, I absolutely love this adaptation. Instead of just copying the source material, they actually dared to do things Capcom never did. If I wanted the exact same story, I’d just play the games. These changes make the lore feel fresh and exciting. The series is definitely on the right track, and since there’s still so much story left to explore, I can't wait to see where they take it next. Huge fan! See more Dante S @dantedantesparda 2d One of the worst game adaptations I've seen. Honestly, being a long time Devil May Cry fan, seeing where the references and characters should've made sense. It made no sense in any of the scenes. Arius was a solid character, but once again the main characters' lost their identity at the start of the season. Critics' alike should pay attention to the source material; where the source was never gave any attention. Adi Shankar said 1-to-1 of the game in terms of story and detail? Seems like everything was a lie. Songs that should be Nero's now somehow seemed like it was Dante's. Whatever went for the budget went for licensing of music. If you love the games, forget about watching this. This is made purely just watchers, not long time fans of the game. See more Shiro T @RT53572748 2d I'm extremely dissapointed with this show, but I expect no less from the guy who took Apu out of the Simpsons. Dante deserves better and the Devil May Cry video games deserve an adaptation worthy of the name rather than using it for cheap brand recognition. See more Read all reviews
