Complete with a sleigh-ride with merry bells ringing and a flying shark with teeth that bite, this Doctor Who hour provides just what anyone, child or adult, fan or non-fan of the Who cult, wants.
A Christmas Carol is all about and dodges clichéd ways to adapt it, unless there's another version out there with time travel, shifting memories, and flying fish I don't know about.
Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol is a seriously fun ride, and will be enjoyed just about equally by longtime fans and anyone who's somehow never experienced the Doctor Who phenomenon.
[Steven] Moffat's adventure is a perfectly paced romp that lives up to the hype both as a great Doctor Who tale and yes, the most Christmas-sy Christmas Special we've ever seen.
[Steven Moffat ] gives us a festive fairy tale.
A Christmas Carol is, ultimately, a fitting end to one of Doctor Who's very strongest years.
