Apr 02, 2022This is probably one of the best reboots you can find because of what they did by bringing in the whole Hawaiian culture, instead of making the same thing over again. The original was great for it's whole concept and character interplay, but this new version of Doogie Howser, M.D., develops a whole family of amazing characters and the culture, all the while still bringing in the excitement of a medical drama, only keeping it much lighter. It has a lot of laugh out loud moments for the whole family to enjoy together and even some inspiring things to learn from. I also can't possibly leave out the best part…the incredible Hawaiian scenery that only comes form genuinely filming on location for every real outdoor scene!

Feb 21, 2022A throw back to classic television like the original Magnum PI . It has good humor with some life lesson parables that somehow avoids seeming too preachy.
-
Feb 17, 2022Doogie Kamealoha is a great show. We look forward to watching each episode. It is clean family focused TV show. The actors are fantastic, they really pull you into the show. Thank you Disney

Nov 30, 2021Really loved Doogie Kamealoha MD, for me the show got off to a slow start, original rating 3⭐, feeling a bit one dimensional, but the show got better & better with each episode, adding depth to the characters and to the show, with S1E10 being best, so beautiful & touching😭💙; final rating 4 1/2⭐!!! Awesome setting, wonderful acting, funny, love dramedies, great sound track and love giving Hawaiian stuff real place in show!!!

Nov 12, 2021Peyton Elizabeth Lee makes her second Disney tv program This one reboots the popular Neil Patrick Harris medical drama Doogie Hauser The setting this time is the Polynesian culture of Hawaii Lahela Kamealoha is 16 years old, but not your typical teenager She excels at being a very young doctor and being very knowledgeable of medicine-related scenarios Yes she's successful contributing to her local hospital but the line between being a grown-up and a kid is difficult She's trying to find her place being a doctor and a young woman not quite an adult yet She has her folks, and two brothers, and her best friend Not to mention Lahela has a crush on a local surfer She's desperate to explore the world on her own, gain her freedom, and gain more work experience But being a teenager comes first and enjoying the moments currently while they last Even her mom needs a reminder of how to be her boss and her mother firstly This is a very mature take rebooting the older show but still pays a lot of respect This show from Disney + has drama, heart, growing pains, adolescent struggles, hard decisions, and love It's true old or young someone has the job of dealing with life or death but it shouldn't be the overall summation of their lives There's always room to enjoy your years outside a hard profession of healing others Peyton Elizabeth Lee gives such a heartfelt, committed performance as this 16 year-old doctor still finding where she truly belongs Season 2 coming? We will see

Nov 11, 2021Very good vibes in this sweet series. The cast is great, and every episode is a good time !
-
Oct 18, 2021Each episode has a average plot but Peyton Elizabeth Lee does an adorable permanence as "Doogie Kamealoha, M.D." that will give you the Hawaii vibes.
-
Oct 05, 2021Love it! Refreshing change from your typical Disney sitcom. Each episode seems to get better and better as they begin to focus on Lehela's relationships with her family and friends while also being a kid living in an adult world when she's at work. I love that this is being shot in Hawaii too!! Looking forward to future episodes.
