As entertaining as the first, but with more emotional depth, Doom Patrol's second season explores darker corners without sacrificing any of its wonderful weirdness.

Critic Reviews for Doom Patrol Season 2

All Critics (24) | Top Critics (2)

Doom Patrol's second season sacrifices too much joy on the altar of its heroes' troubled psyches, without enough chances to savor their unusual charms-or marvel at the oddities continually swirling around them.

Doom Patrol leans into the drama while still acknowledging that it exists in a quite bizarre and off-kilter comic book world.

The cast inhabits their roles with a kind of familiarity that comes with having spent so much time realizing them, and the end result is more than a handful of scenes that make you genuinely feel for the team members and all they've gone through.

This season feels like a fish in the water, swimming in its own pool and sure of itself. [Full Review in Spanish]

These disgruntled shut-ins of the Doom Patrol make for perfect viewing during a year of disease and disappointment.

Jul 2, 2020 | Full Review…

The series blends deep, introspective character drama with absurd superhero humor in a way that's unlike anything else on TV.

Jun 29, 2020 | Rating: 9/10 | Full Review…

It is an ambitiously bizarre series, and there's nothing like it on the market.

Jun 26, 2020 | Full Review…

Doom Patrol has already proved that the stellar season one wasn't a fluke and that its deft combination of weirdness and human pathos continues to be one of the best things on TV.

Jun 26, 2020 | Full Review…

Frequently funny despite being a show almost entirely about life-ruining traumas, Doom Patrol season 2 is, all told, a weird wild delight.

Jun 26, 2020 | Full Review…

Doom Patrol, perhaps the superhero show farthest from the idea that real problems can be solved by a powerful punch, takes the scenic route to personal health.

Jun 26, 2020 | Full Review…

It's a lot deeper than the first season, but humor hasn't been sacrificed for emotions. That ensures the season will remain well-balanced and that every actor will find something juicy to bite into, and we'll still be entertained.

Jun 26, 2020 | Rating: 4.15/5 | Full Review…

Doom Patrol also accomplishes much of what the current DC movie stable fails to do: feeling fresh and inventive while not shying away from darkness and shadows.

A strong and interesting season that is benefited with the addition of the new character Dorothy Spinner who comes with her own share of dangerous abilities. After the fantastic season one introduced us to the Doom Patrol, we now get to watch the team further developed in some very unique and peculiar episodes.

One of the best shows of all time. DC's Doom Patrol is fun, ridiculous, emotional, heartbreaking and a rollercoaster ride. You never know what you are going to get. But whatever you get will be good. Brendan Fraser as Cliffe Steel aka Robotman is one of the best superhero character on the screen. Must watch 5/5!!

If you liked Season One, Season Two is going to be a joyous return to this family of misfits. More iconic heroes and villains from the comic make their small screen debut and each more wonderful and weird than the one before. This show needs to go 10 seasons and allow itself the room to cover everything it should. I cannot get enough. If you are tired of the stereotypical Super Hero BS on TV right now, this is the solution.

Amazing Show Amazing cast amazing writer

Loved the 1st season. Only watched the 1st 3 episodes of season 2 and it's not as good. All the in fighting takes away from the characters. It's just a lazy way to try to make the characters come together at the end. Been done so many times get better writers.
