Critics Consensus

As entertaining as the first, but with more emotional depth, Doom Patrol's second season explores darker corners without sacrificing any of its wonderful weirdness.

Audience Reviews for Doom Patrol: Season 2

  • Oct 01, 2021
The characters deepen wonderfully from the first season after the bomb of Niles' deception. And Timothy Dalton really shines as a monstrous bastards weighed down by guilt, yet unwilling to actually change. Pain Patrol and Sex Patrol are the season highlights, with the wild and goofy premises turned all the way up to the top of the dial. This is, as was the first season, literally everything I could have wanted as a fan of the comics.

Severely under-rated by the audience. Consistently delivers in unexpected ways, but the pandemic cut the finale short...
  • Sep 17, 2021
    Needs more Sex Patrol
  • Sep 01, 2021
It's not that good but also not a bad season just doesn't follow up to the first season
  • Jul 30, 2021
Can't wait for the next season, this show is so good.
  • Jul 24, 2021
It manages to capture the spirit of every incarnation of the comic book team while being it's own thing. Diane Guerrero, April Bowlsby, Brendon Fraser...the entire cast is on point. Can't wait for season 3.
  • Jul 16, 2021
Never ending surprises, fantastical developments and huge laughs. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the wonderful, complex characters. My favourite series of all time!
  • Jul 10, 2021
I love this show .its well written funny show

Loved this fresh take on the superhero show. It's fun, but definitely for adults...that is unless you're OK with your kids watching a show with rampant use of the F-word (Thank you, Brendan and Diane! Seriously...THANKS!) and a mostly naked man flexing his muscles, causing 99% of those actors onscreen at the time to orgasm. It's wacky, weird, and I LOVE IT! My ONLY negative about the show is: I get tired of how every single episode is a psychological look back at each character through flashbacks and "Ther-uh-pee! Ther-uh-pee! Ther-uh-pee!" You'll get it once you watch it. We GET IT. They're f'd up. Proceed with the storyline. Season 3, you can't come soon enough. (Oh...and it turns out I went to school with the actress who plays "The Sisters." Go figure.)

These Characters were awesome in Season 1 and they were even more fun this season. just wrap up the Dorothy plot in the next season asap. her scenes took me out of the show. keep making theme episodes as this seasons were very fun, Tyme, space and Sex were bonkers fun. Thats what makes this show a great time watching.
