Tran's especially interested in his human characters. and he's created a taut, elegant, flat-out fun series to explore what unites them. I love "Drops." You will too. Go to Full Review

Rather than the TV equivalent of bellowing off a rooftop, Drops of God instead stands near the ledge and ponder the height in a quieter way. It has its own robustness that’s certainly worth trying. Go to Full Review

The most intriguing new series you've never heard of! Engrossing and entertaining, you don't have to have any expertise as a sommelier to savor every moment. Go to Full Review

Drops of God is one of those gems of purest ray serene that cable TV prefers to keep hidden in its deep unfathomed caves because it thinks you want something more lowbrow Go to Full Review

austen s @Filmbuff101 23h Absolutely the best series I’ve seen in a while. All aspects of this production is gold. Can’t wait to watch season 2. Japan and France have such a unique portrayal through the characters, story and sets. Stunning film work and great sound too. Acting is at the highest level. Good amount of humor that lightens the powerful drama. Absolute must see. See more Dwight W @Doug183 Feb 4 I am not sure how this show is rated so highly. It's not bad, but it drains all the fun out of wine tasting and wine making. It's also not very dramatic. It's more like a well produced after school special with the story telling overly simplistic on right on the nose. It does look good, well acted and the plot is interesting. But it's overly simplistic without being engaging or charming. I have struggled through two episodes and will try to stick with it, but honestly it's 50-50 that I make it through. I really rely on rotten tomatoes scores, so I am not sure how it's scoring in the +90% category. See more Josh H @Joshhearing Jan 29 We got hooked on this show. The storyline remains mostly dark and dramatic for the first few episodes with small hints of light to keep you hopeful that things will get better for the characters and you end up rooting for both main characters and you start hating some of the others and the first season ends right when you want it. I loved it and thought it was perfectly, well done. See more Miss P @MsReniepo Jan 28 Amazing!!! It kept my interest from the first episode. The actors, the writers, the plot, the scenery, the knowledge of wine and multicultural elements etc. are perfectly executed that also is cohesive and deserving of awards!!! See more John D. @FilmRevolver Jan 26 I don't drink wine, and yet, it is so well made and well acted that it enthralled me for days. This is quality television for adults. No gunfights, and no ninjas. No magic, or superheroes. Just really powerful storytelling made masterfully. Everyone involved clearly put in maximum effort and care. Just start watching and you won't be able to stop. The level of quality is apparent from the first episode. If you don't like it, then I guess you can go back to scrolling through entertainment slop on TikTok, or watching Love Island on Netflix.
