It couldn't have fallen further from what it originally was, but it does have plenty of redeeming qualities that makes it worth to see it through to the end. Some storylines of the many have become too predictable, a quality not present to this degree earlier on. But it still possesses that nice dramatic touch that while it underwhelms, still delivers on the regard that this show has build itself on. So lame. See more Chas J 10/21/2023 Episode 8 is by far the best episode of the season and the only episode that seems in keeping with Elite's style from past seasons. The new characters added to season 7 aren't very interesting or likable other than maybe Chloe. None of the storylines are compelling, partly due to the lack of interesting characters and writing that doesn't make the viewer care about the characters. Omar's love triangle is played out, as is the character. Not sure why all the original characters are gone and we're stuck with the worst one. Omar's character and storyline are particularly pathetic, especially since he was one of the oldest main characters in S1 and now being in his twenties is still involved/consumed by HS students and even dating a High Schooler. The central drama revolving around the "mafia" not only far fetched, even for Elite, but just overall dull and boring. Elite has taken a note from Game of Thrones book by having the best and most developed seasons being early-mid seasons while the last seasons are hardly recognizable.
