Kate V @quekate Aug 31, 2026 A completely pointless prequel that serves no purpose other than to just resurrect an old IP. It isn't funny. It's painfully forced and awkward. It exhausts itself with the running time. This could easily be a solid 30-minute show, not the variable 45 to 60-minute run time that it has. It's so desperate that it tries to recreate moments from the first movie, despite the fact that they actually haven't happened yet. The real positive thing I can say is the casting of Lexi Minetree. She captures Reese's performance superbly, so you can buy into the transition of Lexie Minetree to Reese Witherspoon. See more AJ T @GasAttacK Aug 18, 2026 Loved this show! See more Elizabeth P @RT84837952 Aug 9, 2026 Elle is a fun show but as someone who was actually in high school in the Seattle area during this time- we did have homecoming, we did have football, and we still were grungy. And- it does not down pour and thunder like it shows. We get overcast mists of rain. Other than that completely off part of the culture of the area this is a fun light hearted series that fits the character but doesn’t flow with the movie. See more Esteban C @RT03454761 Aug 2, 2026 elle woods, nothing will ever make me hate you! this series was entertaining, fun, and well, pink! to see the iconic character in her teenage years was just so on pointe! loved the way she was portrayed. lexi minetree was born for this role and reese whiterspoon is a genius. i agree in the sense that everything felt a little too minimalistic to be set in the 90s and the portrayal of seattle all in gray was definitely a choice that could have been a little less aggressive. also, the series is what it was intended to be. a glimpse into the life of this girl in high school, before harvard law; nothing more or less than that, and for me the goal was definitely met! a fun watch, nothing so serious, and ready to see where season two takes us! also, incredible ensemble cast <3 See more Read all reviews
