Matt LeBlanc stars in this comedy series as ... Matt LeBlanc. The former "Friends" actor stars as an actor who is cast in an American version of a couple's British sitcom that is popular overseas. But, as the star, LeBlanc reworks the show into what turns out to be a terrible cliche, causing tension in the couple's marriage.

This was darker than it was funny - the perfect encapsulation of Episode's cruel yet undeniably effective approach to comedy. Go to Full Review

This LeBlanc is as emotionally bottomed out as ever, and "Episodes" remains as sneakily ruthless as anything on television. Go to Full Review

The satire hits some pretty broad targets, but it hits them smack in the bulls-eye. Go to Full Review

Maybe it has not been as popular as Friends, but Episodes, also with Matt LeBlanc, is a very vindictive comedy. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Episodes abided by the golden rules of TV comedy: be different, be funny, and quit while you're ahead. Missing you already. Go to Full Review

Larry L 01/10/2025 Looking at the series in total, this is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I have laughed out loud many times, especially in this brilliant season 5. Matt Leblanc was born for this role. John Pankow, as Merc, was very funny. Kathlene Perkins, as Carol, stole almost every scene she was in, and Mangan and Greig are perfect as the encumbered couple. The writing, especially the dialog, was near perfect comedy. I wish there were more shows like this one... but truly great comedy is very hard to write. See more 04/20/2018 I am the 4.5/5 start-kind-of-person but this is a 5! Everyone who enjoyed the other seasons, apart from plain unenjoyable season three, will have a blast watching season 5. It's beyond funny. It's all you ever wanted. Its biggest downside is, that it isn't available on Netflix. The last season is filled with, unexpected events, identity crises, simple giggles, and wonderfully crafted jokes. It feels much fresher and newer than what seasons two three and four offered. After a bumpy ride introducing great, weird, and unnecessary characters, Episodes ties up everything neatly in its show final. Although I really didn't want it to be over, will I have to call it a brilliant ending to a brilliant show. See more 03/04/2018 hold your line for.. Episodes Not much shows nowadays, walks on smart comedy and more importantly keeps it to the point and these are the reasons why it stands alone and will be a bit eerie to encounter by the normal sitcom viewer. David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik's vision seems wide and is approached too with appropriate care and understanding of the whole tone and the 'backstage' world they have projected in here. Matt Le Blanc in the centre of it is doing some of his career's best work in here and is supported too with a great cast like Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan. Episodes is not your usual sitcom that takes its time to prove a point; its hits fast, hard and even brutal sometime along with a proper understanding of character development that arcs its way up perfectly to the mark. See more 11/08/2017 Wonderful show. 3 of them should get together again.Best show Leblanc has done. See more 10/25/2017 This season was the best! You should definitely watch it.
