Trouble Don't Last Always
Euphoria
Euphoria slows down the tempo without losing the beat in a special episode that pairs a raw Zendaya with a steady Colman Domingo to create small screen magic.

Who knew "Euphoria" could offer such a beaming ray of light?
Domingo, a stage veteran, is brilliant in this exchange, while Zendaya shows why she beat out Jennifer Aniston, Olivia Colman, Jodie Comer, Laura Linney and Sandra Oh for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the recent virtual Emmys.
Colman Domingo and Zendaya are so f--king good and there is so much good about this show and yet it continues to frustrate me deeply.
In whittling Euphoria down to what's most essential, Levinson and his collaborators reveal the great strengths of the series that they'd do well to rely on further going forward.
Zendaya is a star and Trouble Don't Last Always was worth watching for her alone. Yet this one-off lacked the visual punch or frenetic energy of Euphoria proper.
It's complicated and messy, and Euphoria lets Rue be complicated and messy.
Strangely, this diner booth of tears is comforting, and all you really need.
Delivers further proof why Zendaya's recent Best Actress Emmy win was well- deserved.
Zendaya is a gift.
The minimalistic quality of the episode, "Trouble Don't Last Always," allows for the genuine power of both actors to shine through in an episode that is somehow both devastating and tinged with hope.
It is an absolute joy to watch two excellent actors bounce off each other.
This is, and it can't be stated insistently enough, a remarkable episode of television.
