An American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name, "Euphoria" follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue's orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

In its second season, Euphoria struggles to move forward with its pivotal arcs, which makes the story feel lacking in a lot of ways. It also makes the huge mistake of sidelining multiple characters, turning them into a shadow of what they used to be.

The end of season 1 to this masterpiece was honestly peak cinema, the emotional roller I went through watching this season and getting closer to the characters

I really love it, and the first season is truly one of the best things I've ever seen. I loved Ro character from the first season, but from the second season I loved Maddie. They're my two favorite characters, but Jules and Cassie are the two most annoying Falcon characters. I really hate them.

I preferred the first season. Sam Levinson wanted to give all the space to Rue and to the ridiculous love triangle of Nate, Maddy and Cassie, forgetting the importance other characters had. This season clearly lacks of psychological depth, which is exactly what made the first season so good. What keeps this season alive are the cinematography in general, the music and the acting. The plot… has lots of problems.

Sam Livingston and Labrinth once again take our characters back to the romanticized hell of 2010s high school. The cinematography, score, and outstanding performances from the cast still create a comfy, nostalgic show. Each cast member delivers their best performances yet.
