Critic reviews for Waiting for Dutch
Performances were universally excellent. Dunst and Danson were terrific but outshone by Wilson, who was winningly phlegmatic and wearily wise.
If this Midwestern morality play's second act is anywhere near as good as its first, aw jeez, that would be just terrific, sure.
It's a coy play on a fictitious tale that still manages to feel real, despite some truly oddball antics and extreme scenarios. That authenticity carved out of a mad world is what we were looking for... and it's exactly what was delivered tonight.
We think you should probably just go ahead and start watching Fargo this season because this first episode was really, really good.
So, while it's too soon to call it just yet, it does seem like all the proper elements are in place for another great season.
