Simon R @RT64486026 Aug 30, 2026 JJL is great. Hamm and Temple credible. But it's just too slow and convoluted (and not in the great Coen way). A bit of snow, but no mention of Fargo or the classic big-sky shots. No one for the collection. I just hope that Hawley's not got too distracted with other projects now, and decides to back his back into writing a great return to form with a sixth season. Fingers crossed. See more Briana I @Anaire Jul 8, 2026 This was a good come back since season 3 and 4 were huge misses, but 5 was fantastic. I absolutely loved it and was very impressed. Juno was the highlight and star of the series and I have no idea why she hasn't gotten much more roles after this hit. She made this season for me. Her acting skills were better than I've seen most legends in the industry. But everything about this season was amazing. I am trying to decide if it was better than season one. Because Freeman was just as good as Juno, it's hard to say but yes very good would definitely recommend, I am just very impressed with the writing and how they made each season have the essence of the original movie, which was just ok. But they really did the movie justice! One of my favorite tv series of all time. Even though not every season was good, the ones that were made up for the whole lot! A refreshing take on the captor/captive storyline. The direction and cinematgraphy were top notch, only topped by its amazing score. Juno Temple KILLED it. Jon Hamm was deliciously gross. Jennifer Jason Leigh was amazing (best character arc) David Rysdahl was amazing. Lamorne Morris was great. Richa Moorjani was great. One look at Dave Foley's character and you know you're at home with Fargo. And last but not least, Sam Spruell brings an unexpected supernatural element to the season and absolutely embodied the character he was playing. See more Wayne C @Voicefromadyingempire Feb 14, 2026 This could gave been good - but the didacticism and cartoonishness of the characters in this enterprise will be insufferable for anyone who does not think that being tied up in a chair and being yelled at that men are monsters, the sisterhood generally amazing apart from a few bad eggs who ‘betray all women’ (a line in the script!), that libertarians - Trump supporters - are wife-beating, gun toting bible spouting psychopathic murderers. The series is plagued by the failure to distinguish between artistry and college level sloganeering. What comes through most clearly is how the desire to be politically instructive completely fails to understand the kind of people it believes need instruction. The first two series of Fargo maintained the style and cleverness of the Cohens, This takes some of that style, for a while is even gripping, and works with a great female character - though why she is attracted to such a sap of a husband makes no sense - and then goes to complete shit.
