Twelve seriously overweight contestants who believe they have signed up for a weight-loss program to take place inside a posh mansion receive the shock of their lives when fitness trainers Steve Pfiester and Lorrie Henry reveal the truth -- the group is going to walk more than 570 miles from Boston to Washington, D.C., in pursuit of a prize pool of $1.2 million. But there's none of that insulting business about "voting off" other players. In fact, the more people who finish in the allotted time, the larger the pot each player wins. Participants can expel a member who they think is holding them back from reaching their goal, but each time someone is eliminated, the potential prize money for each remaining competitor drops by $10,000.
