Fear the Walking Dead is already doing a better job than the original of examining how civilization-rather than a small band of survivors-reacts to and evolves during the crisis.

It would've been great if the franchise could've come back with a spark of confidence. Instead, we get something needlessly slow-paced, underwritten ... and all wet.

Will Fear the Walking Dead simply become The Walking Dead: Left Coast? Thankfully - particularly given The Walking Dead's creatively bankrupt finale - no.

Like Fear the Walking Dead, it's too frustrating to be great, but too eccentric to be dismissed.

After sifting through the first two episodes of Season 2, it's clear taking to the ocean is the only change the writers were willing to make.

Fear the Walking Dead returns with a season that promises the swimming dead are to be just as feared as those walking on solid land.

There simply is no risk and not enough to keep viewers interested. [Full Review in Spanish]

The show's second season improves the spinoff (from more famous elder sibling The Walking Dead) in just about every respect... [Blu-ray]

The striking camerawork and offbeat location choices (boat, desert, hotel, etc) go a long way towards setting the show apart visually, though fans can rest easy that the gory moments are still as nasty and inventive as ever.

Fear the Walking Dead leaves fire: Los Angeles ablaze, fighter jets dropping bombs to no avail. It's awesome, in the classic, apocalyptic sense of the word.

Oh, lordy, please don't invite discussions of existentialism -- the show is tedious enough as it is.
