carolyn m @Carolyn109 12/15/2024 Love to the first season. Second season Hazel is just mean, Bri doesn't have time for her husband but has time for another man and is so self-centered. The only good actor, who played Ari, is leaving the show. Disappointing and silly. See more WA S @RT04138528 12/11/2024 I'm still on the fence about this one. The review covers all current seasons. There are some episodes that are somewhat interesting but as another critic said this show leans heavily on the subject of infidelity in marriage. It begins with the three women, Ari (the smart one), Bree (the flighty ditz) and Hazel (the vain one), until the actress who plays Ari left the series. With the women going to ridiculous lengths to find out if their men are cheating, including breaking in and entering. I figure by a certain age we as women should know when a relationship isn't working to step away from it. This is a comedy or so it says but I have yet to see anything really funny. I'll continue watching and update this review accordingly. Addendum: There was one funny scene then it was followed by rank stupidity. At least there is some character development with Hazel. Bree, however, continues to be a flighty, whiny little twit, despite being a surgeon. I'm still powering through this. See more Stefanie K @RT26252822 01/18/2024 The acting in this is so bad. Wow wow wow See more 07/19/2021 I was hollering from the very first episode, couldn't keep track of all the rewinding of scenes (like when Granny got up from the table from vegan Megan saying, "I can't, I cannot" & the bit off Set It Off scene with Derrick & Ari). The chemistry among the First Wives characters was such that you'd believe actresses themselves were best girlfriends in real life. I couldn't get enough of Hazel, Ari & especially Bree. Jill, Ryan & Michelle & need a show spun off of FWC - incredibly strong comedic performances & I'm craving a lot more story. And not to bury the lede but for these performances to be so strong it all came down to the writing - Tracy Oliver, what can't she do… Survivor's Remorse, Girls Trip - she brought the same rich comedy to FWC, which says it all.
