"King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd" serves up an epic monster smackdown in an electrifying episode that benefits from improved CGI and fascinating fight scenes.
The fight was everything, Joe returning only sets the show back on course, and best of all -- no Cicada!!!
King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd was nutty in a good way and did some solid building on the overall season arc with Cicada.
Not only was the individual presentation of both monsters far superior to some of their recent appearances, the fight scenes were very well-executed and, for the most part, were incredibly convincing.
It's really hard to knock an episode that gives us a giant shark and a giant gorilla facing off for the fate of Central City's human population. Stuff like this is basically what comic book shows were made to do.
Wow! That was an amazing fight! Definitely worth the wait since we first met King Shark and Gorilla Grodd. I doubt it will ever happen again though.
Go ahead and pull out the checkbook, because this one was one heck of a fun budget-buster.
The Flash's long-gestating showdown between King Shark and Gorilla Grodd has finally made its way to the small screen.
I'm still somewhat shocked "King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd" worked as well as it did, so well, in fact, the epic showdown between the two may have been the best fight sequence The Flash has ever done.
Part of me is surprised that the "King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd" actually worked. This definitely feels like an episode that was born out of "wouldn't it be cool if King Shark fought Gorilla Grodd" before the actual story was formed.
"King Shark vs. Gorilla Grodd" ended up being sugary sweet in all of the best ways, and it didn't skimp on the monster action, either!
