Inspired by the life of Isaac Wright Jr., "For Life" is a fictional serialized legal and family drama about an imprisoned man, Aaron Wallace, who becomes a lawyer, litigating cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn't commit. His quest for freedom is driven by his desperate desire to get back to the family he loves and reclaim the life that was stolen from him. Aaron's complicated relationship with a progressive female prison warden helps shine a light on the flaws and challenges in the U.S. penal and legal systems.

john n @RT44955046 09/04/2022 Strong exploration of wrongful convictions, with a good cast and powerful acting. Season 2 is as good or better than season 1 (naysayers notwithstanding). See more 10/18/2021 Good series. But in the era where every hero must be black or a white woman and there are no all white couples left in the world, why does the black or white female hero need to be aggressive, off hand and rude? Its not endearing and I wasn't a slaver or white male that was the root of your anti social personality! So back off buddy or budess. Just be a normal person that people can like. See more 04/18/2021 Season was fine until they dragged COVID-19 into the story. Got exhausted of that pretty quick... See more 04/04/2021 When you allow your story to be taken over by political rhetoric, because Police aren't "hunting" black men like they like to say, your story starts to suck. I couldn't even remember what that season was about cause it was all politics. See more 02/21/2021 They have completely ruined a great TV show. Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 😫 what have they done? Corona Virus and George Floyd? They have deviated completely from the story of Aaron Wallace and replaced it with a terrible modern day moral commentary that just doesn't work. The incredible story of Aaron, and the even more incredible work he carried out after his release, is what the second season should have been focused on. The plot is slow and dull and has entered into soap drama territory. I gave up after episode 7. So disappointed. Oh what could have been. See more 02/11/2021 I think For Life is a great political statement filled with an accurate view of people of color to see themselves in dealing with law enforcement. If voted on by the community of color it would probably receive a much higher rating. 50 Cents was intuitive in making this a tv series with political implications.
