Tv Season Info

The third outing of the British mystery, set in early 1941, opens with Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle (Michael Kitchen) contemplating a major change: accepting a position at Naval Command. But before he takes the job, he tackles a case involving the SOE, an innovative sabotage-and-espionage group. He also investigates strange goings-on, including the theft of drugs, at a makeshift RAF hospital; and a farmer's murder that may be connected to German airmen whose plane crashed nearby. Sgt. Paul Milner (Anthony Howell), meanwhile, goes undercover at a shipyard in an attempt to nab racketeers; and Foyle's driver Sam (Honeysuckle Weeks), in the belief that she's not doing enough for the war effort, helps the Land Girls who are working the dead farmer's fields. In other events, Foyle's son Andrew (Julian Ovendon), an RAF pilot, runs into turbulence after a friend is injured while flying his Spitfire.
