Meanwhile, Louis (Randall Park) is rewarded for his work at Cattleman's and takes the next steps in building his restaurant business, while Jessica (Constance Wu) reflects on her place in America as she strives to become a citizen. Fresh off the Boat will resonate with anyone growing up with immigrant parents, especially Asian ones, and wishing your mum had packed a ham and cheese sandwich instead of some exotic concoction for your schoolmates to gape over.
