By virtue of the show's duration, Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Chandler and Monica have worn out their comic welcome; nothing they do surprises, shocks or excites auds like it used to. Go to Full Review

Friends always had a solid end to its seasons, but Joey and Rachel teetering on the edge of a relationship is one that we would all probably rather forget. Go to Full Review

Season nine's problem was its relationships. Go to Full Review
Adam Chitwood Collider 06/27/2018
The writers finally reached the point where they apparently had tackled all the possible road blocks to Ross and Rachel getting together, opting for a hail mary of a story arc in which Rachel falls in love with Joey. No, Friends. No. Bad Friends. Go to Full Review

Ed R @JustcallmeER Oct 7 It's just about time to end this series. See more Stephen C @bob25009 Jul 20 24 funny NBC episodes. See more Vi L. @ScoopsAhoyNumber1Worker Jul 20 100/10!!!! This show is my absolute favorite!!!! Put it on in the background, or just to get a laugh in from chandler’s quick wit or joeys iconic moments. All the characters are absolutely incredible and so is the show. I can’t not love this show with my whole heart!!! See more Max W @MaxthorWoo Jun 8 Season 9 of Friends plunges some of its characters into an exhausting cycle of romantic entanglements — a melodramatic turn that even longtime fans might find hard to stomach. See more av 8 Apr 14 Season Average: 7.565 Both Joey and Ross nearly made a move on Rachel and now neither are. Rachel is the only person who can put Emma to crying. Ross is such a baby and likes lollipops. Chandler is into normal p*rn and not shark content. Everyone is always free and in the coffeehouse otherwise but not on Phoebe's birthday night. Ross' ego cannot stand a male nanny. But he sure can sing about girls with huge backs to make Emma laugh. Rachel is surprisingly the least spoilt of all her sisters. Ross puts the number of the guy Rachel met at the bar safely into his pocket. Chandler leaves work and comes to Monica. Chandler is out of work. Rachel and Phoebe (very temporarily) get back to work. Phoebe's apartment is going to be the source of the next plague. People love Monica's singing a lot, lot, lot. Ross and Rachel go on terrible blind dates. Phoebe was a large burly man who once had mugged Ross when he was a boy. Monica does NOT need a b**b job. Ross dies and no one cares. Chandler comes out of the closet. Phoebe wins 3 dollars because of the darn pigeon. Now it's Rachel's turn to be in a one-sided love story. Monica and Chandler cannot conceive easily but they do not want Zack's sperm. Meanwhile Joey dates smart Charlie who ultimately dumps him and makes out with Ross minutes later. Joey decides that he can after all do it to Ross and kisses Rachel.
