We expect more from a great comedy ensemble cast.

Karamo [Brown] provides the emotional trigger for the first season's two most profound moments, which is saying a lot because the new Queer Eye is definitely a three-hanky weeper throughout.

The show is more drama than comedy , and I ended up interested but usually pretty depressed from each of the episodes.

It's not a realistic world, but the way Friends from College casually digs into the social perfectionism of so-called successful people feels about right.

Briefly had the appeal of allowing me to see what Fred Savage from the Wonder Years looks like a million years on, but was otherwise trudging and worthy and had irritating characters.

Good intentions, solid plot buzzwords and a talented enough cast only further accentuate how flawed the show is.

Friends from College is almost like a piece of experimental television, testing the audience on how it reacts to an array of unlikable characters and situations that don't culminate in big laughs.

Friends from College is just emotional enough to see certain characters in a different light, and it's just funny enough to almost let their questionable behavior slide.

Disconcerting and frustrating almost like a class reunion. [Full Review in Spanish]

It's not bad that this show got made, but it is proof of Netflix's seemingly endless capital and the willingness to throw a random assemblage of stars to the wall and see what sticks.

Friends from College isn't perfect, but it's worthy of a weekend binge. Especially if you're sick of watching Friends reruns.

The result is a hit-or-miss comedy that tries to be both "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "The Big Chill."

It was not secretly good, though it may have had some good-enough things about it. It was bad.

To my disappointment, the only thing I was impressed with was Billy Eichner's performance.

They're all so unpleasant and treat each other so poorly, it's hard to imagine they'd want to spend even a few minutes together.

Few things are sadder in television than wasted talent, and Netflix's new show, Friends From College, squanders its lot of heavyweights.
August 30, 2017
The cast seem to think that if they manically throw all their energy at their characters it will help. It doesn't.

It's as if the sitcom is nothing more than a string of skits lumped together, hoping some cohesion, somehow, will happen.

Fine in small doses, grating at length, the show's real encouragement may be to put away childish things once and for all.

The show inadvertently proves that a clan of misanthropes can be just as boring as milquetoast besties, so long as the two groups are treated with equal abstraction.
