You can only relax until you see something completely bonkers unfold. And, in that respect, this show doesn't disappoint at all.

Frontier's top billed actors are Jason Momoa and Landon Liboiron, but its female characters are the best part of the show.

Overall, these six new episodes are an excellent continuation of a gripping historical drama that seems to have flown under the radar of a lot of viewers.

Shifting loyalties and alliances define the season and set things up for a potentially even better third season, should that happen.

It might not be for you if you gnash your teeth at tropes that have been through the spin cycle a whole buncha times, because there is definitely that. But overall, this show is really good and at some moments I'd use the word "stunning."

Audience Reviews for Frontier: Season 2

Too much sex. Seriously, the first season had just one or two scenes to skip over, but in this one its several times per episode. This is lazy story-telling and immoral material.

Great show everything is perfect I love iT do much (But I think iT would work better if iT had 8 episodes)

Frontier continues to fall flat in almost every way in season 2. The story is uninteresting, rushed, and unevenly paced, and the characters generally hold no value to me. Anyone can die in this show at any moment and I wouldn't necessarily care. And to make matters worse, the conclusion of this season was just as unsatisfying as the first season.

My hopes for the second season are as high as Katie mcgrath's teased hair.

Great sceneries, great story, much action. The second season is way better than the first.

Like the previous season, this sluggish series falls flat on its face. Jason Momoa's performance and good cinematography will not be enough to save this floundering show.

This show is getting out of hand in the realism department. I started watching it because the story takes place in a wild environment. Though, apparently, only the protagonist and his buddies have fighting skills. I like the cast and the plot. Just didn't like the way and the speed everything happens. Seems that they hurried it up a bit.

Good production. Lots of suspense and gore. They leave the second season on quite a cliff hanger!

This season of Frontier is definitely a step up from the last. The characters are more likable this time around especially Michael. It steps away from the revenge plot the last season had and instead focuses more on feuds. I remember the last season had choppy action scenes but season two had more intense action and I found myself helplessly gripping my seat when watching some scenes. The first season I liked but I didn't like how many scenes were in that nasty town in Fort James. Everything is lager scale and we explore more places in this season. If we get a third season, I think that we'll get more world building and that would be awesome. Great job to the actors and crew, please give Frontier season two a watch.

I do like Frontier, there are some good and interesting plots, however just as the program is starting to get interesting it ends, there are only 6 episodes per season, this does not allow it to develop and that where it then lacks, they would have been better to join season one and two together. If they make a 3rd season they need to make it at least 10+ so it will allow the plot and chars to develop.
