The Man Who Made the Supergun

Episode Info

When Canadian Gerald Bull was found murdered in his home in Brussels, all fingers pointed to a secret assassination by the elite Israeli force Mossad. Although never substantiated, this designer of the world's foremost weaponry was an enemy by proxy. Brought to video by PBS, Frontline: The Man Who Made the Supergun takes aim at the brilliance of Bull and, on account of his penchant for being a hired gun, his affiliation with Iraq during their conflict with Iran. Because of his direct involvement, Iraq's missile program heavily outgunned Iran, and six months after his death, Iraq invaded Kuwait, lighting the fuse of the Gulf War.
