Arya's little deception at the end clears up something that always bugged me about the book... I'm sure it's something that's explained, but I like the explanation the series comes up with much better.

It's unclear... but something big is on the Game of Thrones horizon. We've met new characters, we've been taken to new places, we've received new insight into past favorites.

Even though Daenerys and Robb Stark got left out of "What is Dead May Never Die," it was wise to omit them given the fact that we were introduced to even more new characters in the form of Margaery Tyrell and Brienne of Tarth.

It's a testament to the writers' commitment to their characters that, in the middle of an incredibly tense, dangerous journey, they took time out for a scene in which Arya stops and tries to process her past trauma.
