This season was way too abbreviated. Why on earth did they cut it down to 6 episodes. So disappointing.
A terrible letdown after many great seasons before it.
As a fan of GoT , i thought it was going to be hard watching to GoT for the last time. Instead i could'nt wait the last episode to be over
Season 8 was one letdown after another. GOT spent 7 seasons building this wonderfully complicated, gritty and intriguing (if not bombastic) world of medieval politics, magic and familial love, while artfully avoiding many clichés or predictable storylines. But in the final season, they abruptly closed the majority of pivotal character arcs with rushed, unsatisfying non-sequiturs that upend the rich lore and saga they so carefully built, a saga which was what won them their fanbase to begin with. While "subverting expectations" seems to be all the rage these days, you can only add so many unexpected twists before you twist your audience's arm right off. Even if it involves unexpected outcomes, the common person wants a resolution that satisfies, not a resolution that explodes in their face like the chaotic burst of a piñata.
Rushed, simple, shallow, and final endings not connected to the underlying stories.
Series 1-6 Amazing.
Series 7-8 Extremely disappointing due to lack of cohesive plot, character development, overall writing.
However, Acting, Cinematography, and nearly all other aspects of the show are still on point. Such a shame and wasted opportunity by the show runners (writers)...
Battle of winterfell was the only watchable episode and was one of the best episodes of the show everything else was trash. Heartbroken to see questions go unanswered and characters wasted. i contemplated turning off the television halfway through the final episode I was so upset. This isn't what the fans deserved after almost 10 years of faithful watching. I cried over characters deaths in the past. This ending just left me angry and will probably go down as one of the worst endings in t.v. history..
Awful writing with gaping plot holes ruined what was once a great show.
The water bottles and coffee cup had better plot development. Heartbreaking to see a great series deteriorate in to this. Plot arks were destroyed.
The Season failed to put together so many charater developments to present a good ending. There were never ending arrays of loop holes.
